Folks, we’ve made it through a pandemic (almost), bushfires, floods, redundancies, a year of no travel, and a few months without haircuts – if that’s not a solid reason to celebrate, we don’t know what is!

Christmas Day has finally come and gone – it’s time to get noughtie at Ling Lings on Saturday, December 26. Ignite your night with Fireball Cinnamon Whisky and let the good times roll with DJs spinning on the decks all night long.

Christmas in South Bank
As soon as you see glittering markets pop-up in the parklands or hear festive fireworks cracking throughout the night sky, you know that Christmas in South Bank has arrived. Add the gentle hum of live Christmas carols to the mix, artfully-strung Christmas lights, plus special photo-friendly visits from Santa and kids’ activities (including death-defying tutorials and performances from acrobat extraordinaire, Aerial Angels) and you have an evening out that the whole family can enjoy.
This year, Christmas at South Bank also comes with a fresh twist – South Bank’s famous outdoor Christmas cinema has a cozy new home at River Quay. Head along with your favorite picnic snacks and some cool drinks to see heart-warming Christmas classics play out on the big-screen, beside the Brisbane River.

Eat Street Northshore is back! From the scents of international cuisines to the sounds of live entertainment, the Eat Street Northshore creates a buzzing atmosphere for friends and family to gather every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night. Once you’ve filled the belly, browse the work of some of our state’s best artisans and designers in a gallery of dedicated boutiques that integrate perfectly with the food containers. Victoria Park Christmas Putt Putt
Whether you’re a putt putt pro or playing for the first time, yule be sure to have a tree-mendous time at Brisbane’s only Christmas-themed putt putt course at Victoria Park.
Following its huge success in 2019, the 18-hole mini-golf course is inviting locals to step inside a Christmas Wonderland featuring new themed holes as well as giant candy canes, gingerbread people, and snowmen. This year, there are two new exciting holes to play and two favorites from last year. You’ll feel especially festive as you tee off on the winter wonderland themed hole – don’t forget to say hi to Frosty the Snowman! There will also be a chance to see how Santa makes the magic happen in Santa’s Toy Shop. The Putt Putt course is fully licensed, and you can order drinks and snacks from the Golf Shop Kiosk before you play.

Sea Monsters: Prehistoric Ocean Predators
Be one of the first in Queensland to experience Sea Monsters: Prehistoric Ocean Predators at Queensland Museum. While dinosaurs may have ruled the land, giant marine reptiles hunted the depths of the sea.
The Sea Monsters exhibition brings together real fossils from millions of years ago and gigantic replicas including a 13-meter long Elasmosaurus and 9-meter long Prognathodon, alongside hands-on interactives, including a 180-degree immersive video that puts you right inside the action and much more
